MUGA Scan

If your cardiologist suspects you may be suffering from coronary artery disease, you may be instructed to schedule a Multi-Gated Acquisition (MUGA) scan, which is designed to chart the function of the heart’s separate ventricles. With the information acquired from this scan, our physicians can offer an informed diagnostic intervention if heart failure is detected.

MUGA scans represent the foremost technique for charting ventricular ejection fraction levels. Most physicians prefer this method because of its impressive accuracy.

Pacemaker Follow-Up

As an added service to our patients, we currently offer pacemaker follow-up options. Patients are provided with a device to be kept in their home, which allows our team to remotely monitor the pacemaker’s function and battery voltage.

This service is performed on a monthly or bi-monthly basis. A more comprehensive pacemaker check-up with a physician in our office facility is suggested to take place at least twice yearly.
